Country Swag!!

My lucky Apple and me
Where I go my Country girl swag!! ;)
I was born and raised in Florida, Not what many people would call a "country girl." But I was no stranger to farm life. My family owned a few race horses for a short while, that were past down from my Pop-pop to my Dad. We spent as much time on the farm behind the race track as possible.  Riding the farm horses, brushing apple down, playing with the goats and chickens. But nothing bets getting taken out of school early with my brother and sister to see Apple race. Then, getting to stand next to her in the winners circle. Memories I'll never forget!

I'm not sure if my love for the "farm" life started then or with my childhood best friend Tara. Her Grandparents had a small farm, we spent every weekend for years there. They had a horse, well we called her a horse it was really pony, it didn't matter to us, We loved her! :) They also had a few cows, a garden and one time we got to bring baby chicks home from the local feed store. We loved going to the feed store, it was like disney world to us.
We spent are days riding the "horse" Stephanie down the hills. We helped in the garden, but only till we got distracted. We turned trees into our forts or castles and used sticks as microphones (so glad no one could hear us out there). Some of my favorite childhood memories where on that farm! I think of those times often. (Love you Tara)

Other then the occasional farm field trip or random horse back-riding
trip, i have been separated from the simple life life-style. I married the most amazing man, my best friend, my everything.  Lucky for me he understands the benefits of farming. Not just for the benefits the animals bring or growing our own food. But the experience it brings to our kids. Growing up around chickens,  goats, horses. Learning to care for them, love and maybe one day show them. We have only just begun growing our hobby farm and my little toddle already has county girl swag!  ♡♡♡♡
