Reasons I am getting goats

I have to admit my husband was the first to bring up goats, right before we got the chickies. I kinda brushed it off, goats really? Ryan (the husband) usually needs a good sales pitch and some convincing before adding to our animal family. I figured since it was his idea I should at least look into them. A few youtube videos later and I knew he was right.... I HAD TO HAVE GOATS!!!

My reasons for why I was easily sold on goats- Aside from the fact that they are ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE, sweet and fun!

THE MILK!!! To get your female goats (Doe) to produce milk they have to have a liter of baby goats! I get milk and more baby goats! Win WIN!!! Blog after blog.... video after video I decided dairy goats were right for us.  Goat milk is less allergenic (with J's milk allergies I'm hoping this will open up more meals I can cook him). Goats milk is naturally homogenized, easier to digest, causes less lactose intolerance and matches up to the human body better then cows milk. Truthfully I am not a big milk drinker but will cook with the milk.

THE CHEESE!!! Who doesn't love goat cheese??? Goat cheese also cause less lactose intolerance then milk. But is also as probiotics, high in protein, boost metabolism and low in calories and fat!

The most exciting part (for me at least)....

THE SOAP..... Yes Goat Milk Soap!!! There are MANY benefits to using GMS, these are only some! GMS is loaded with essential nutrients & vitamins like Vitamin C, B1, B6, B12 and E. Treats acne, reduces inflammation of the skin, naturally moisturizes, less allergenic ;) and chemical free!!! Plus I can get really crafty with it! YAY Another craft to get hooked on!!

But the best part is all these products will be made right on Mohr livin' farm!! How cool do I feel??? ;)

(took this picture from google images).
Did I mention how adorable goats are?? They are so cute that I probably would have wanted some just as pets without the many benefits of having them! I can't wait, I think they will be my mothers day present! :)
